A unique collection of collage pieces from Chicago artist Bridgette Bramlage
Thursday, April 15th - July 15th
iD is excited and thrilled to showcase artwork by Chicago artist, Bridgette Bramlage. Her exhibition, entitled "Floating Figures", displays collage pieces in various scale and size. These pieces will be on sale and display from April - July.
Bridgette Bramlage is an emerging Chicago-based artist & stylist who began her collage practice in September of 2020. What started as a personal pandemic-based project quickly turned public due to community support, encouragement and requests for commissioned work. She has used art and design to communicate since she was a child drawing on the walls. From her first 35MM camera to metalsmithing at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, creating has always been in her DNA. Collage is a new language for her to convey the humor, beauty and surrealness of life. When she is not working on a new project, she keeps life interesting with free-lance interior styling, sourcing vintage design, making photographs for a residency in the south of France and enjoying life on Chicago's northside with her husband, Zak.
Her Floating Figures series expresses a response to our Covid realities; the feelings of untethering; free-floating through landscapes. Inviting the view to look closer, meditate and reflect.
